Washington DC

Washington DC & Federal Work

Washington is the heart of the apostille side of the practice: the U.S. Department of State authenticates federal documents here, embassies handle legalization for non-Hague countries, and federal agencies issue the records people need certified. Ronit serves clients across the District — at offices, hospitals, hotels and residences — and coordinates federal apostille filings in person.

Service Areas

Serving Washington DC, Maryland & Northern Virginia

Home base is Beltsville, minutes from the Capital Beltway — which is why same-day appointments work across the whole region: Washington DC and its federal agencies, the Maryland suburbs and county seats, and Northern Virginia communities across the river. Apostille work is different: documents are accepted from all 50 states and routed to the correct Secretary of State, and federal documents are handled with the U.S. Department of State right here in Washington.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly can a mobile notary come to me?

Same-day visits are often available throughout the region. Appointments run 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM, seven days a week, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Call or text (202) 875-6829 to confirm the next available time.

What identification do I need to bring?

A current, unexpired government-issued photo ID — a passport, driver's license, consular ID or government non-driver ID. Under Maryland law a credible witness can also help establish identity when a signer has no ID.

Can you apostille a document issued in another state?

Yes. Apostille must be issued by the state where the document originates, and we handle documents from all 50 states — including any notarization and county clerk certification needed first — and coordinate the Secretary of State filing for you.

What about federal documents, like an FBI background check?

Federal documents are authenticated by the U.S. Department of State in Washington DC, not by a state. We prepare and submit FBI background checks and other federal agency documents for federal apostille (authentication) and keep you updated on the timeline.

Do you speak my language?

Ronit works in English, Russian, Hebrew and Spanish, and provides certified translations between English and Hebrew, Russian or Spanish. For other languages we can coordinate a qualified interpreter.

How do I get a price for my appointment?

Call or text with your location, document type and preferred time, and you will receive a written quote before the appointment. All fees are disclosed in writing and agreed before any service begins.
